I recently bought a 1995 265 XF. I got fixated on Albemarle when my wife told me I needed a bigger boat. Didn't find any in the Northwest, so drove to Florida and bought a nice one (original owner, 400 hrs) and trailered it back to Oregon, an adventure in itself.

I have always been involved in salmon fishing in the ocean, but the new madness up here is that people are starting to discover the albacore tuna. The problem is that they are usually located 50-60 miles out. This ain't no warm water ocean up here. the North Pacific is cold and rough. Need a good strong offshore boat, and the Albemarle fits the bill. I have had it out a couple of times in varying weather, and caught a few albecore. The boat, and operator, still need some tweaking, but I am glad I got it.

Welcome Bob.

Tuna fishing is hard here too (Virginia), which is why the Albemarle is the right boat for us.

Welcome aboard Captain.
I've got the the same, vintage 1999. Great boat, just get used to the rock and roll at drift.
