Hello all
I have been looking at this forum for a while but never posted.
Lots of good info.
I am thinking about buying a 2003 320 Express with 3126 350hp cats.
I was wondering if anyone on this board has this configuration?
What kind of cruise I should get? I fish offshore and would like to be able to run 25-26kts when conditions permit. Boat would be run heavy. Full fuel, water, Ice, 4 guys.

Assuming the boat gets full turns (2800 rpm) loaded, I would like to run at 2400. Is 26kt possible at that RPM?

Thanks for any info
Bruce

Nope - the general rule for Cat-powered 32's, whether 300 hp or 350 hp, is 24 knots at 2400rpm and +1 knot for each 100 rpm.

You need to go to a 370 hp Yanmar boat to get the cruise speed that you're looking for . . .

I had a 1999 300 Cat 32 Express . . .

Mine is a 1995 model with 300 hp 3116 Cats, but I can confirm what Billin Time said. I normally cruie at about 2450 rpms and get 24 - 25 knots out if it.
