Here's the trick for posting pics in the forum. There are 2 ways to do this:

1. The file attachment method

To use the new feature, start a new post, look for the "add an attachment" box and browse to your picture location when posting.

Permitted file types and sizes are here:

http://www.albemarleboatowners.com/forums/attach_rules.php?f=10

2. Using the URL tags for hosted images

First the picture must be hosted on the web via your own website or favorite free imagehost .

Some popular image hosts are:

http://www.momentoffame.com/
http://images.realgoodhost.com/
http://www.photobucket.com/
http://www.jetpaint.com/index.php
http://www.yourwebimages.com/

After uploading them to the imagehost, right click on the picture, select properties, and copy the URL of the picture. The URL must end in ".jpg"

NOTE: SNAPFISH and some other free imagehosts will give a URL in another format. See special instructions at the bottom of this post.

Start a new topic or reply to an existing topic in the forum. Enter your report.

Next click on the Img button above which will add the tag -----> [img]

Then paste in the URL of your picture------>

http://www.daybreakfishing.com/images/Tutorials/PostingPics.jpg

Finally close it by clicking the Img button again like this------->[/img]

Make sure there are no spaces between the tags and the URL when you put it all together.....like this:

[img]YourURLGoesHere[/img]

Now, for snapfish pics.....

If you have a snapfish or similar image that has a URL ending in ".php", you can still post the link to it in your post by using the [url] tag in place of the [img] tag.

You can also get in the boat gallery by emailing pics to the site here:

Yes, the solution is to use your image editing software to resize them smaller.

My recommended size is 640 pixels wide which should also be small enough in terms of file size.

If you have problems, just email them to me, a few at a time and I will resize them.

That has to be done by me. If you haven't already emailed me your pic, please do. I have a back log but will be adding boats over the winter
