My electronics get extremely hot in my 280 XF...I was thinking of installing a couple "pot fans" to blow air around the rear of the units...these would be wired to the electronics master switch...anyone already accomplish this? Thanks

Are all of your electronics getting hot? Are they in an enclosed area where no ambient air can circulate? Could it be a wiring issue, maybe your wiring is not the correct gauge. Electronics should not be getting "extremely hot".

Yes they are surface mounted in the "clam shell" on the 280 XF...not much air can get in there once latched down...thinking about cutting in a vent to allow some circulation...wire sizes are manufacturers spec...others have noted the same issues and have gone with fans of various design...just thought someone here might have already invented the wheel...

Mine is surface mounted also, but the back side is not enclosed. How about cutting a few holes in the clamshell. Not sure if it is possible because I am unable to envision the clamshell.
